It had even been wide spread as some influencers which also included the music legend, Charly Boy; former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, and others had in a challenge tagged #ShettimaChallenge, recreated the outfit to mock the VP candidate.

However, Shettima, in a video which is currently making the rounds had declared that he had deliberately wore sneakers to the event, which took place on Monday.

He had openly noted that he wore sneakers to the event because there was a plan by a presidential candidate and his supporters to commit mischief at the event.

According to Shettima, “One of the presidential candidates, his team held meetings for three consecutive nights to commit mischief.

“When I was told it was a hostile crowd. I’m a banker, trained by one of the best bankers in the world. I’m a Jim Ovia boy. I deliberately wore sneakers to the NBA to mock (sic) at them.”

In another report, Kashim Shettima, has hinted at what Nigerians should expect from the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s administration alongside himself as vice.

He pointed out that if elected, their government would emulate the accomplishments Tinubu had laid down in Lagos if they are given a chance at the presidency.

Shettima noted this in his address at the Nigerian Bar Association’s annual general meeting, conducted in Lagos on Monday.
The former Borno state governor urged Nigerians to follow the man who knows the way out.
