Respite has come the way of Lagos, as the state recorded sharp drop in Coronavirus infections on Saturday, with 33 new cases.

In the figures released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Nigeria recorded 87 new cases, with Lagos taking the lion share of 33.

On Friday, the state ramps up its highest coronavirus infection figures since the pandemic started, which stood at 80.

Between April 20 and 25, Lagos has consistently experienced increase in infections, ramping up 291 cases.

What this means is that the state has seen a 76% increase in number of confirmed cases within four days, an average of 70 cases daily.

Thus, with 33 cases recorded on Saturday, there is hope that the state may have reached its peak in flattening the curve and will now continue to have decrease in infections.
