The United Arab Emirates has issued an arrest order for an individual who was captured on video displaying an arrogant demeanor while demanding the purchase of the most expensive cars in a luxury showroom.

The individual, known for filming videos showcasing the lavish lifestyles of the wealthy and influential in the UAE, was observed in this specific video engaging in a conversation with the owner of a high-end showroom. In the video, he requested to purchase a car worth over AED2 million ($545,000).

Viewers witnessed individuals in his company carrying a noticeable container brimming with a substantial quantity of cash.

As outlined in a report from the state-run news agency WAM, the video has been found to contain content that insults and ridicules Emirati society, intending to generate harmful public opinions about its citizens.

According to the UAE’s FBI, ‘He was shown distributing financial packages to the showroom employees in a way that reveals imprudence and lack of appreciation of the value of money.’

‘The video promotes a wrong and offensive mental image of Emirati citizens and ridicules them, and then incites and provokes public opinion, which harms the public interest.’

‘The Public Prosecution ordered the summoning of the owner of the car showroom in which the aforementioned video clip was filmed.’

The Public Prosecution in the UAE has appealed to social media users, urging them to comply with legal and ethical regulations when sharing media content.

They emphasized the significance of respecting the societal characteristics and values of the UAE, which prioritize moral commitment in all behaviors.

This approach aims to prevent individuals from facing legal repercussions.

Notably, this statement was made in the presence of individuals carrying large sums of money.

The man was filmed saying, ‘What is the most expensive car here? Okay. I want the Mercedez, rolls royce and the Red Bull sports car.’

The UAE’s Federal Prosecution for Combating Rumours and Cybercrimes has directed the detention of the individual following his arrest. This decision will enable authorities to conduct investigations into the case.

In light of the incident, the individual has been charged with the offense of publishing content that is inconsistent with media content standards and includes insulting remarks targeting Emirati society.
