Yobe @31 Gov Buni Singles Out Past Leaders For Praise

While commemorating the 31st anniversary of Yobe state, Governor Mai Mala Buni has congratulated the people of the state for making it thus far following the creation of the state while singling out some past leaders for praise.

In his remark, Buni lauded the past Governors of the state for establishing and setting up the state for growth and peace; this statement was related to the public on Saturday in Damaturu by Buni’s Director-General Press and Media Affairs, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed.

According to the governor, every one of the state’s previous leaders contributed a significant and generous effort towards its development, and the populace also offered collaboration and support.

‘’As leaders of the state at various times, you have made tremendous contributions to the state that makes us all proud’’ he said.

He further expressed his gratitude to the state’s responsible citizens for their support of and contributions to past governments, both domestically and overseas.

’‘I specially commend you all for your resilience, support and cooperation in building our dear state.’’

’‘Your strong resilience has spurred this administration towards speedy building and recovery of the state after the decade-long Boko Haram insurgency,’’ he said.

In addition to commending Almighty Allah for the serenity currently prevailing throughout the state, Buni urged the populace to keep on praying for enhanced safety and peace.

He claimed that the assistance given to his administration had made it possible for the government to renovate schools, additional healthcare facilities, develop houses, build roads, and complete the cargo airport, among other things.

The governor promised that his administration will keep carrying out projects and programs that sought to better the lives of the citizens.

Buni prayed for more years with improved peace, security, prosperity and speedy development of the state.

Buni prayed for longevity marked by prosperity, peace, and security for the state as well as rapid state development.

Records indicate that the late military Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, create Yobe State on August 27, 1991.
