China and the Chinese Government has once again mocked the tiny Island Nation of Taiwan for “seeking independence” from them while getting to insist that the island nation would remain its territory.

The government had also sternly warned the leadership should immediately stop collaborating with foreigners that may cause their death.

The foreign ministry reacted to the continued live-fire drills in Taiwan and the authorities’ comment that China is trying to intimidate its people.

Spokesperson Wang Wenbin accused Taiwan’s leader Tsai Ing-wen and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leadership of an attempt to mislead the public.

“This once again exposes their separatist nature and real agenda of seeking “independence”, he noted.

The government said realizing “complete national reunification” is an aspiration of all the Chinese people and an unstoppable historical trend.

Wenbin had also stressed that though China is ready for “peaceful reunification”, there will be “no room for separatist activities”.

The spokesperson said Taiwan’s leaders’ collusion “with external forces…will only accelerate their own demise and push Taiwan into an abyss of disaster”.

China insists the “independence separatist agenda” will not succeed, adding that “betraying the interests of one’s country will result in failure”.

In another report, the Taiwan millitary have held another round of their recently announced live-fire security drills on Thursday after their Chinese counterparts had its largest-ever military exercises around the secessionist island and also openly repeated some of their threats to bring the self-ruled democracy under its control.

Beijing had been enraged by United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan last week which would also make her the highest-ranking elected American official to visit the country in decades.This had resulted in the staging days of air and sea drills that raised tensions to their highest level in years.

Taiwan had also openly made some accusations on China for using the Pelosi visit as an excuse to kickstart drills that would allow it to rehearse for an invasion.

Lou Woei-jye, spokesman for Taiwan’s Eighth Army Corps, told AFP its forces fired howitzers and target flares as part of the defensive drill on Thursday.
