The unveiling of Kashim Shettima who is the Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been postponed till Wednesday next week.

The unveiling was initially scheduled for today at 1pm but it was indefinitely suspended.

Africa Daily News, New York had also reported that the postponement was at the instance of party chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who had wanted to shift the schedule for some the APC governors to attend the event.

Many of the governors are at present in Osogbo, Osun state, as members of the campaign council.

The party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived Osogbo on Monday and left Wednesday with Shettima to Abuja, to complete all the INEC papers for Shettima.

In Osun, the party’s candidate, Governor Gboyega Oyetola will seek a second term in the election scheduled for 16 July.

In another report, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finally come out to completely debunk some reports which has been making rounds that its legal adviser has tendered in his resignation in protests over the selection of Kashim Shettima as the running mate of its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement on Monday had also described the report as as false and misleading.

The reports followed announcement by Abuja based lawyer, Daniel Bwala, that he is quitting the ruling party over the selection of Shetimmma, who like Tinubu, is a Muslim.

But in its statement, Morka said Bwala is not the party’s legal adviser.

“Our attention has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating on some media platforms that the National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has resigned.

“Barr. Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq is, and remains, the National Legal Adviser of APC.

“Barr. Daniel Bwala was not the National Legal Adviser of the Party as erroneously reported.

“The report is either borne out of mischief or extreme negligence. We urge the general public to kindly disregard,” Morka said.
