Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle who is the Zamfara State Governor, has expressly approved the appointment of Alhaji Garba Mohammed S/Kudu who would be replacing the former as the new Emir of Dansadau emirate.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Kabiru Balarebe made this announcement in a press statement issued to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital.

The statement noted that the appointment takes immediate effect.

Recalled that the former Emir, Alhaji Hussein was accused of involvement in banditry activities and was detained in the Government House, Gusau, the State capital.

He was later dethroned and taken to court and was replaced by Alhaji Garba Mohammed S/Kudu recently.

Governor Bello Matawalle has also had a meeting with traditional rulers in the state to strengthen synergy with the government and various organs of security towards fighting the prevailing insecurity in the state.

The governor met the District Heads across the Nineteen Emirates of the state under the auspices of District Heads Forum who paid him a visit to express their appreciations on donations of brand new cars and other special support he made to them.

Matawalle said the traditional institution is one of the most important organs of government in decision making and other aspects of development in the society, hence the need by his administration to support it at all times.He expressed his administration’s resolve to accord special respect to the traditional rulers, saying that his decision to provide brand new cars to emirs and district heads was borne out of his desire to boost their morale, productivity and dignity among their subjects.

The Governor revealed that his Government’s strategy is to always ensure sustainable peace, growth and economic development in all parts of the state.

He said the achievements recorded in the area of security and transformation of the state would not have been possible without the maximum support of the traditional institutions and people of the state.

He commended all the political class and entire critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state for their resilience in achieving the unity of all political factions by coming together under one umbrella.
