The kidnappers of two professors and other members of staff of the University of Abuja, have demanded ₦300 million from families of victims.

Africa Daily News, New York recalls that the armed men who are yet to be identified, invaded the staff quarters for the institution on Tuesday morning and whisked away the victims.

According to the school authority, those abducted during the unfortunate attack are Professor Obansa and his son; Professor Oboscolo, his son and daughters, as well as Sambo Mohammed and Dr Tobins.

A day after the incident, the assailants contacted families of the victims and are now demanding ₦50 million from each abductee.

He said, ‘they have contacted the family of the victims and we learnt that they are demanding for 300 million for all of them’.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Habib Yakoob confirmed the development to Africa Daily News, New York on Thursday morning.
