Armenian President, Armen Sarkissian has tested positive for COVID-19. Xinhua reports that his office made the announcement on Tuesday.
Sarkissian had visited London on a New Year holiday with his family.
He underwent leg surgery and showed coronavirus symptoms on Sunday.
The result of his test confirmed the positive status.
The President will work remotely for now.
COVID-19 cases in Armenian reached 160, 544 on Tuesday, with 2,878 deaths.
