The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has ordered security agents to go after terrorists within the country’s borders and restore law and order.
Buhari pointed out that security agents have been given the mandate to hunt, pursue, and speak to terrorists in the language they understand.
He made this known while speaking at the Citizens Summit for National Integration, Peace, and Security organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Partners, held in Abuja.
The President who was represented by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Buhari said terrorists would be expunged from Nigeria.

He promised to successfully tackle terrorism and banditry across the country.
He said: ‘We have directed the military to crush those terrorising our citizens, peace and security are gradually being restored to the country.
‘In the past couple of days, you must have heard about the number of terrorists neutralized by the military, and number of hostages freed.
‘We must take the fight to the terrorists and demonstrate that there is no hiding place for them within the borders of our country.
‘Each one of them will be hunted, and pursued and spoken to in the language that they understand.’
Africa Daily News, New York reports that the insecurity in the country has continued to heighten over the last few months with many Nigerians now living in fear.
The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA has tasked the stakeholders of the Nigerian military to come out and demonstrate with full, undeniable evidence devoid of media propaganda their proof of any concrete counter-terror war against terrorists and bandits going on in the North West.
HURIWA had also noted that the entire scripted propaganda about the so-called onslaught against North West terrorists has been stemmed in the realm of mere propaganda until Nigerians are shown evidence as the Army usually do when they kill Igbo youths under the guise of killing members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra or the Eastern Security Network allegedly affiliated to IPOB.
