Fresh reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York has revealed that another one of the Bishops and Christian clerics who had been ‘hired’ to attend the APC unveiling of Kahim Shettima as the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential running mate for the 2023 general elections has been unmasked as he was mysteriously transformed from being a Bishop to a plumber at the popular Dei Dei market in the central area of Abuja.

The fake Bishop who had been spotted as being one of those who had graced the unvieling ceremony which had been orchestrated by the APC Presidential flag bearer for 2023, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had been seen plying his plumber trade in the market on Saturday after some of the traders had called him out for his part in the Bishop entourage.

As can be seen in the viral video which Africa Daily News, New York had gotten a hold of, he had been flanked and besieged by numerous traders while they mockingly chanted ‘Bishop’, ‘APC Bishop’ after him.

The Bishop saga in July had caused a lot of controversy when the news had filtered out that the APC had used fake Bishops. The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN had also come out to debunk any reports of having their members at the unvieling. Controversial politician, Dino Melaye had also blasted the APC while reacting to the attendance of the controversial bishops at the unveiling of Kashim Shettima, the presidential running mate of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Melaye had reiterated that the presence of the alleged bishops at Shettima’s unveiling had exposed APC’s desperation for power and corruption.

Reacting to the development, Melaye said Reverend Fathers don’t wear cassocks outside mass service.

In a tweet, Melaye wrote: “Reverend fathers do not wear cassocks outside mass service. Desperation raised to power 1000.”

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has disassociated itself from Wednesday’s unveiling of Kashim Shettima as the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

National Public Relations Officer of CAN, Mr. Bayo Adedeji, made this known in a short message which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York after images of men said to be ‘pastors and bishops’ went viral on social media.
