Ukraine has categorically denied the assault and has accused Russia of faking the event in order to incite “anti-Ukrainian hysteria”

Russian officials declared a missile assault on a military plant near Kyiv, which they said was in reaction to a Ukrainian helicopter attack on a Russian settlement at the same time that the warning was issued.

Ukraine has completely denied responsibility for the incident.

“Tonight, sea-based high precision long-range “Kalibr” missiles hit a military facility in the outskirts of Kyiv,” said Igor Konashenkov, a spokesperson for the Russian defense ministry.

He went on to say that the strike targeted Ukraine’s Vizar military facility, which was producing and repairing anti-aircraft and anti-ship missile systems. Mr Konashenkov warned that if Ukraine continued what he described as “attacks on Russian territory,” Russia would intensify missile attacks against Kyiv.

The strike targeted Ukraine’s Vizar military facility that was producing and repairing anti-aircraft and anti-ship missile systems, Mr Konashenkov added, warning that Russia would intensify missile attacks on Kyiv if Ukraine continued what he described as attacks on Russian land.

In response to any attacks of a terrorist nature or sabotage on Russian territory conducted by the Kyiv nationalist regime, he said the number and scale of missile strikes against Kyiv objects will increase.

In a statement on Thursday, Russian officials accused Ukraine of sending two helicopters into the Bryansk region of Russia in order to attack a residential building in Klimovo and injure eight people.
