Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Sunday abducted at least two students of Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the incident occurred on Saturday night when the assailants invaded the university’s host community.

It was gathered that the attackers stormed the area with sophisticated weapons, shooting sporadically before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination.

According to reports the gunmen also abducted one Hon. Yahaya Adams from the community during the attack.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident.

According to him, the command has contacted the school management and has commenced investigation into the attack.

He said, ‘We have met with the institution’s public relations officer, PRO and investigation is currently ongoing’.

Bandits have continued to terrorise many parts of northern Nigeria despite the efforts of the Nigerian security operatives.
