Ghana Police Shoot Men Suspected Of Killing Journalist

The Police in Ghana have reportedly gunned down two suspected armed robbers who were alleged to be behind the killing of a UK-based journalist on a major highway last week.

The late journalist whose name was given as Syyed Taalay Ahmed, was working on a film documentary in the West African country when armed robbers shot at the car he was in and left him lifeless.

Police have disclosed that they killed two of the gunmen and arrested four others on a highway linking central and northern Ghana.

Weapons and stolen items were recovered from the gang, the police statement said.

It added that they suspect the gang to be behind other violent attacks.
