Music has always been an integral part of culture and religion and whenever it comes down to it, indigenous music always has the desired effect of joy and happiness to whoever hears it.

A good example of this phenomenon is this video of Metropolitan Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Anthony Obinna dancing happily to some nice indigenous Igbo tunes at a recent Igbo event in Maryland, United States of America.

The Archbishop who has always been an ardent supporter of indigenous customs and healthy traditions can be seen showing off some stellar dance steps as he moves to the rhythm of the popular award-winning Bongo genre song “Owerri Bu Oke Mba” by Late Great Christogonus Ezebuiro Obinna, popularly known as Dr. Sir Warrior and his band mate and song writer Ndaa Victor Azuoma from Orgi Uratta in Owerri North.

The Bongo sound was founded in Owerri, Imo State and has spread all over the globe thanks to indigenous music maestros such as Ababa Nna, Lucky Picolo, Sunny Bobo and many others.
