EDUCATION
Education is the process of teaching someone what they do not know; that is a process of passing knowledge. But in the case of our nation, this has been overly misunderstood to be going to school and acquiring certificate. For our nation to actualize our greater tomorrow, we must change this mindset through rehabilitation. Because unless this is done our institutions of learning will continue to produce people whose actions can not effectively bring positive change to our nation; this is by the way.
HUMAN RIGHT EDUCATION
As Nigeria is still in her adolescent, one of her greatest need is their understanding the work-ability of individual right as citizens of Nigeria and that of the world at large. Knowing fully well that when Citizens know their rights and go own to respect others right you will have a nation built upon respect for human right.There have been this neglect by people on the role people having proper understanding of various rights of individuals will play in nation building. It is obvious that he who doesn’t understand the law can never respect and obey the law. Almost all the facet of Nigeria is suffering from this syndrome of lawlessness. This can be attributed to the era they grew up in; the era when people’s rights were totally infringed upon by those in power. When both military and non military forces were rampaging. This tyranic period moulded individuals that careless about what the law says. I believe that we will start seeing changes in the our national life if right education is rolled out for the citizens as a national program. This will in turn reflect on our national life. This in no small measures will equip the citizens with the necessary tools that they need to participate effectively in the nation building.
Again, greater effort should be made as regards to young people as it is said “teach a child the way he should follow so that when he grows up he will not depart from it”. In respect to catch them young ideology which have been so effective for centuries having been the applied by both religious and secular organizations in carrying out their programs. Right education should be inculcated into Primary and Secondary schools curriculum so as to catch them young.
Entrepreneurship Education
The unemployment level in our nation shows the lack of entrepreneurs in our nation and this will be attributed to the lack of entrepreneurial up bringing. Because of the need we have as a nation I believe that making entrepreneurship as a practical subject in our secondary schools will help inculcate entrepreneurial skills and spirit in young people at early stage of life and this will make them grow to become big business owners. I believe that if this is done we will raise a generation that will not be looking for employment rather those who will create employment. Thereby turning our economy to world class economy.
