KEN

MRS. FIBEISIMA
I will not! I demand an explanation now! Why you didn’t show up for the dinner?
KEN
Mum, I will explain but please come and sit down first.

I pity you ken, truly I do. I just wonder why you’ve decided to toe the path of destruction despite the fact that your father and I brought you up in the godly way. God knows we’ve done our duties as your parents. So, as usual tell me lies why you didn’t show up and embarrassed that poor girl?
KEN
Mum, honestly speaking, it wasn’t intentional, I had an impromptu business obligation to meet up with that very day, I didn’t even remember to switch on my phones that day please I’m deeply sorry about that.
MRS. FIBERISIMA
I’m used to your cheap lies so I’m not really bothered, I’m only concerned about your life style.
KEN
Don’t worry, mum; I’ll make it up to you some other time. So, what do I offer you?
MRS. FIBERISIMA
Nothing, just make sure you apologize to Ngozi for your attitude.
KEN

MRS. FIBERISIMA

KEN

Ken, any life that is not divinely and spiritually ordered is a wasteful one, you need that girl to help, mould your life so that you won’t end up in hell.

COLLINS in the HOTEL ROOM with SHOLA and almost ready to leave after sleeping with her.
COLLINS
Yea! I’m set now, I need to hurry back to the office, you know I had to sneak out to be with you.
SHOLA
That’s the problem I always have with you, I never get enough of you.
COLLINS
Come on Shola! You have to understand that you’re a married woman and we should be really careful so that we won’t be caught.
SHOLA
Hide and seek game! Sincerely, I’m sick and tired of it.
COLLINS
So, what do you rather have us do in this situation?
SHOLA
Darling, let’s elope, let’s go where we can be free, get married and live happily.
COLLINS
Certainly not in this country.
SHOLA

COLLINS
I don’t have the funds for such a project, how can I make a suggestion.

KEN
The taste of alcohol obviously is the taste of life.
RAY
I agree with you bro! I just wonder why people leave all the fun in this world for that boredom called Christianity.
KEN

RAY

KEN
I told you, the fish never leaves its natural habitation of water!
RAY
Apparently, he has returned, bar man! Please hurry and get him his favorite immediately.
DAN
No! No! Please.
KEN
You mean, you’re not drinking?
RAY
Are you following doctor’s advice?
KEN
What about cigarette?
DAN
No my brothers, I told you that I’m a new man now; the clean spirit of God in me detests these things. Please brothers, I want you to join me in my new found love – Christ, he’s the way, the truth and the light and who so ever finds him, finds eternal life; this life you people are living, truly, doesn’t pay, it can only gratify your flesh just for a period of time, then it will bring all sorts of illness to your body before it eventually ensnares your soul forever.
Please, I want you to be saved, that’s why I’m inviting you to our powerful praise and worship night in the church, this is for you Ray and ken, this is yours. Please I beg of you in God’s name, try and be there, it promises to be awesome. I look forward to seeing you both.
