In a recent report, the Kano State Fire Service has admitted that up to 15 persons have been killed and properties worth up to ₦20 million have also been destroyed in some various fire incidents which had occurred in the state in October.
This report had also been contained in a statement which had been signed by the Public Relations Officer of the service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi on Thursday in Kano.

Abdullahi said the service also saved 24 lives and property worth ₦43.3 million from 35 fire incidents during the period and he also revealed that the service responded to 32 rescue calls and six false alarms from residents across the state during the period.
The spokesperson had also urged the general public to handle fire with care to prevent fire outbreaks and cautioned motorists to abide by traffic laws to avoid road crashes in the state.
The Kogi State House of Assembly complex which is located at Hassan Katsina road, around Crusher village on the outskirts of Lokoja, the state capital, was on Monday burnt to ashes by fierce fire.
Africa Today News, New York reports that the fire burst through the roof of the Chamber, causing extensive damage to the floor of the house with some furniture and office items destroyed.
The Speaker of the House, Mathew Kolawole, and the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, were among the early callers at the assembly complex. As of the time of filing this report, no one has been able to ascertain the source of the fire. The Speaker of the Assembly, however, said he suspected sabotage, but did not say anything further.
‘We should leave security people to do their work and give us a report going forward,’ the speaker said.
Meanwhile, Dangote Group has debunked claims that it had a hand in the fire incident.
