Christian Pilgrims Visit Jordan To Pray For Peace In Nigeria

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims presently in Jordan have offered prayers for peace in Nigeria even as the security and economic challenges confronting the nation appear to have worsened.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that a group of the Pilgrims, who were led by a tour guide, Mueen Akvoush and the Executive Chairman, Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission, Ajinuhi Samuel Oluwafemi, visited Gedara where Jesus Christ casted demons out of a madman who was possessed of an unclean spirit.

This was even as pilgrims prayed fervently to God to cast out the spirit of the destruction of lives banditry, kidnappers and criminal elements who have brought the country to its knees.

Oluwafemi in a statement urged the pilgrims to take advantage of the spiritual exercise to improved their relationship with God and solicit for His intervention in their daily activities.

He also led the pilgrims to river Jabbok where Jacob split his family into two in preparation to meet with His brother Esau.

Oluwafemi encouraged reconciliation with each other for the building of our Nation on every issue for we are one.

‘I encourage every pilgrims to pray fervently for God’s intervention on the challenges confronting our families and nation in particular and keep reconciling for the growth, unity, and togetherness of our Nation.’

The pilgrims expressed gratitude to the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam for providing Nigerians with the opportunity to see, touch and have the memories of places where Jesus Christ performed miracles in Jordan.

They pledged to behave well and remained good ambassadors of Nigeria as well as respecting the Jordanian government rules and regulations.
