Russian coronavirus cases continued their upward trajectory on Sunday as another 11,012 new infections were recorded.
This took the nationwide tally to 209,688.
It was the eight day in a row that the country registered over 10,000 cases.
Russiaβs coronavirus taskforce said 88 people had died in the past day.
This also pushed the national death toll to 1,915.
Russian coronavirus cases last week overtook French and German infections.
The country now has the fifth highest number of cases in the world.
