Coronavirus cases worldwide crossed the 500,000 milestone Friday, with the United States of America leading with 85,612 cases, 1,307 deaths and 1,868 recoveries.
Statistics provided by worldometers, showed 536,434 coronavirus cases globally, 24,114 deaths and 124,395 recoveries.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) earlier in March declared the coronavirus a pandemic, after renaming it as COVID-19.
The pandemic is now raging in 195 countries and the ”Diamond Princess” cruise ship harboured in Yokohama, Japan.
China, where the virus originated has been overtaken by the U.S. China now tails with 81,340 cases. It’s death toll of 3,295 lags behind Italy and Spain.
