Nigeria recorded 17 more COVID-19 deaths, with 597 new cases on Tuesday, according to report released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
The 597 fresh cases represent a rise from the 379 cases reported the previous day.
Of these figures, Lagos topped the chat with 204 cases, up from the 138 cases it raked in on Monday.
Rivers recorded 89 cases, while Edo posted 65 cases and the FCT, 50 cases.
This takes Nigeriaβs total confirmed COVID-19 cases to 196,487, with survivors 185,159 discharged.

Total deaths now stand at 2,573 after adding Tuesdayβs 17 deaths.
