Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory was empty Tuesday as the lockdown ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari began.
The usually bustling parts of the city such as Utako Motor Park, Apo Mechanic Village, Berger Roundabout, and the Nnamadi Azikiwe Airport Abuja were devoid of all human and business activities.
The 14-day lockdown was ordered by Buhari on Sunday as part of measures to stem the spread of coronavirus in Nigeria.
