The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), yesterday, conducted a Counter Terrorism (CT) Simulation Exercise at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano.
It was the furtherance of its efforts to ensure combat-readiness for an effective response to security threats to the nationβs airports and other critical assets, Code-named βExercise Steel Dome 2β, the exercise, which was organised in collaboration with other security agencies at the airport, entailed insertion and extraction of NAF Special Forces (The Panthers) within the terminal buildings to retake the airport from terrorists.

The exercise, which had taken place in Abuja and Lagos in 2106, will be replicated in other major airports across the country.
