Recent reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York has revealed that a Federal High court in Gusau, Zamfara State has nullified the primary election that had brought in Dauda Lawan Dare as the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Governorship candidacy ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Justice Aminu Bappa who was the Presiding Judge had also explained that the court granted all the prayers of the plaintiffs and cancelled the election of Dauda Lawan Dare as the party’s flag bearer for the 2023 general elections.

“This court has granted the prayers submitted in this honourable court by the plaintiffs and hereby ruled in their favour” the judge added.

“The 109-page judgement will be presented to the counsels of both the plaintiffs and the dependants”.

Speaking with newsmen immediately after the ruling, the counsel to all the plaintiffs, Barrister Ibrahim Aliyu said the court has nullified the election of Dauda Lawan Dare as the PDP governorship candidate according to the prayers they submitted before the court.

“We believe in justice because the Court has seen reasons to nullify the election of Dauda Lawan Dare as PDP candidate in Zamfara state”

“We had in our prayers urged the court to nullify the election which was characterised by a series of irregularities and we are happy that our prayers have been granted”

In another report, the Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kingsley Esiso has boasted that the party would secure nothing less than 95 percent of votes cast during next year’s presidential election.

Esiso asserted that such huge support would be in honour of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who is currently holding the vice presidential ticket of the party in the February 2023 poll.

He, therefore, urged members of the party to massively mobilise residents in the state to achieve the objective.

Esiso spoke during a general meeting of Isoko Unity Group held at Emevor, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

In attendance at the meeting were former Minority Leader of the House if Representatives, Leo Ogor; Delta South PDP senatorial candidate, Michael Diden; House of Representatives candidate for Isoko Federal Constituency, Jonathan Ukodhiko and Isoko North House of Assembly candidate, Bernard Odior.
