Zulum Is A Model, Other Governors Should Copy Him – Buhari

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his admiration for Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State calling on other Governors in the country to make him their model in governance. 

The Nigerian leader on Friday paid a glowing tribute to the Borno helmsman on the occasion of his 53rd birthday.

Buhari’s statement which was obtained by Africa Daily News, New York was signed by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity.

He hailed Zulum’s “public spiritedness, energy and zeal” in tackling the ongoing situation in his state.

Buhari described the celebrant as ‘a reliable partner in the effort to return normalcy and development to the Northeast’.

The President says Zulum is serving the nation in an outstanding manner, adding that his passion for peace inspires many.

‘He is a model for others to copy. We pray for his long life’, Buhari’s message added.

In another report, no fewer than six farmers were yesterday abducted in Mafa, a town in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria, by terrorists suspected to be members of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).

An Intelligence Officer who opened up to Zagazola Makama, a counterinsurgency expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad disclosed that the victims who were mostly displaced persons, went missing after they went to their farm at Bulagarji village, located some kilometers away from Mafa town.

Relatives of the victims who confirmed the incident, said the insurgents attacked the farmers in the wee hours on Wednesday and took them to an unknown destination.

One of the relatives who chose to be anonymous, said that the ISWAP were demanding for N5million ransom before they release the victims.
