According to cyber security firm identified as Kaspersky Laboratory, a number of Russian government agencies and security firms have reportedly been targeted by a group of Chinese hackers, who have posed cyber security risks to the mentioned companies.
Africa Daily News, New York reports that recently, several malicious cyber attacks on the Russian Federation’s military-industrial complex were allegedly executed by the Chinese hacker organization notoriously identified as TA428.
According to specialists, the attacks encompassed the dissemination of spam emails with malware code and classified info, and were first identified in January 2022.

He mention in an address on Wednesday: ‘According to available information, a report by the cyber security company, Kaspersky Laboratory, which appeared to a limited circle of Russian politicians, it is noted that the government-linked Chinese hacker group TA428 is behind numerous attacks on the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.’
‘Russian Kaspersky Lab researchers are convinced that the attacks were aimed at industrial enterprises, design bureaus and research institutes, government institutions, ministries, and departments in several Eastern European countries such as Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine, as well as Afghanistan.’
‘According to them, the data shows that the purpose of this series of attacks was cyber espionage. The cyber attacks were first discovered in January 2022.’
‘Hackers used phishing emails containing sensitive information about compromised organizations and malicious code to deploy the PortDoor malware to infiltrate computer networks.’

Cyber attacks can be devastating to the stability of companies particularly when there are web-based. Few months ago there had been an attack on a Nigerian betting platform called “Bet Naija” suspected to have been targeted by Russian hackers during the initial heat of the Russia/Ukrainian war. It was reported that the company paid huge ransom to recover the site’s data.
