The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi on Monday night responded to claims by his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), counterpart, Atiku Abubakar that only a miracle can make LP win the 2023 election.

Atiku, who spoke in an Arise TV interview recently, had said the Labour Party has no structure and as a result, can not win any elections.

In his response to the claim, Peter Obi who was featured on a Channels TV programme on Monday, said his political journey has always been characterized by the miracle of God.

He said, ‘Well, my political journey has been a miracle. So many things have happened in my life that people never thought would be possible. In 2003, I contested for the Anambra Governorship election under a party that was just one year old, people said it will take a miracle for me to win the election that year, I won.

‘Six months later, I was impeached. I challenged the impeachment in court, people said it will impossible for me to come back to office, that no governor has ever come back to office after impeachment, they said it will take a miracle for me to win the case in court, I won the case.

‘So my political journey has been like a miracle and I’m waiting for the bigger miracle to happen in 2023. That’s my response to Atiku’s statement’.

The former Anambra governor also asserted that under him, every state should be placed in charge of its own security.

Obi’s comments on the heels of the attack by terrorists who attacked an Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, 2022, released three victims out of the 62 hostages who they abducted.

Africa Daily News, New York recalls that the terrorists had on Sunday released a disturbing video showing victims being flogged, even as the terrorists threatened to sell some into slavery and kill others.
