Gunmen Kidnap 3 Missionaries In Kogi, Demand ₦20m Ransom

About three Christian missionaries with the Child Evangelical Fellowship, CEF were on Monday night abducted by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Kogi State.
One of the victims whose name was given as Peter Adigidzi is a member of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA. The others are Pastors Sunday Abah and Mike Baba.
Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the men were abducted on Friday evening, 10 June, in Ejule, Ofu Local Government Area of the state.
According to multiple sources, they were on mission work to the area when they encountered the gunmen.
The whereabouts of the missionaries generated concerns until their abductors made contact on Saturday demanding  N20 million ransom for their release.
Their vehicle was recovered the following day.
Intense prayers were offered during Sunday service for the quick and safe release of the victims.
Kogi State Coordinator of Chilldren Evangelim Ministry (CEM) Evangelist Charles Esho confirmed the attack.
He called for more prayers for their safety and divine rescue within the shortest possible period.
When contacted by reporters, the Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Williams Anya confirmed the incident but declined to provide further details as at press time.
He assured that security agencies are synergizing for their timely release.
