Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has revealed details of Atiku Abubakar’s meeting with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governors.

Tambuwal said Atiku on Wednesday met with governors to strategise on securing victory for PDP in the 2023 general elections.
He told newsmen that the meeting was more of a consultative meeting.

The politician along with the candidate came to thank the governors for their roles at the convention.

Tambuwal said, ‘We talked about cooperation and collaboration in prosecuting a very successful electioneering campaign that will result in victories for the PDP at various elections from the state House of Assembly, national election, governorship and the presidential election come February 2023.

‘It is more of a consultative meeting on matters concerning the way forward.’

Tambuwal further stated that Atiku is still consulting on his choice of a Vice President.

‘It’s part of the consultation, it’s ongoing and governors are also being consulted on that,” Tambuwal said.

At the meeting was the PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu; governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi and Seyi Makinde of Oyo States.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos State, Sen. Bola Tinubu has announced that he bears no grudges or grievances against anyone, not even those that do not support his ambition.

Tinubu, who emerged as the APC 2023 presidential candidate at its just-concluded Special Convention and presidential primary election, made this known while speaking in Abuja on Wednesday.

The former two-term Lagos State governor thanked the party’s delegates and leadership for making him its presidential candidate for 2023 presidential election.
