Meanwhile, Africa Daily News, New York reports that the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, had last week disclosed that the party does not regret pegging its presidential nomination form at ₦100m despite the criticism that has come with it.

He made this known lastFriday while addressing State House Correspondents after officially presenting the Ekiti APC governorship candidate, Abiodun Oyebanji, to President Muhammadu Buhari as the Ekiti State governorship elections draws close.

The former lawmaker who recently resigned as Senator explained that the move was to push away off unserious contenders on one hand and to raise sufficient funds ahead of the upcoming elections on the other hand.

He also went on to added that it was also to done to discourage parties that have no chance of winning elections from sponsoring individuals to play the role of spoilers. Meanwhile many Nigerians have expressed concern over the high cost of the nomination forms.
