Former Governor of Lagos State and Presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s presidential nomination and expression of interest forms at the total sum of ₦100 million.
According to credible reports, Tinubu who is presently out of the country was represented by members of his support group, which included a House of Representatives member from Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke; a member representing Agege Federal Constituency in the green chamber, Babatunde Adejare; as well as a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

The APC leader had earlier in the year declared his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 noting that becoming the President of the federal Republic of Nigeria has always remained one of his lifelong ambitions.
Africa Daily News, New York also reports that earlier on Friday, another group believed to be a support group for Owelle Rochas Okorocha also picked the forms for the former governor of Imo State who is also vying for the same position.
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed that it was yet to zone its presidential ticket for the 2023 elections contrary to widely held insinuations.
This was made known by the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu while speaking to State House Correspondents shortly after presenting the party’s candidate for the Ekiti governorship election, Biodun Oyebanji, to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Adamu was accompanied on the visit to the Presidential Villa by the Ekiti Governor who is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Dr Kayode Fayemi; Kebbi Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) Atiku Bagudu and National Secretary of the APC, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
The Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF) on Thursday asked major political parties to throw the contest for their presidential tickets open to all regions, asserting that the zoning system is no longer desirable.
