Today, we shall talk about the fact that all the awakened people of Ndi Gbo, possess one/more or all of these trees. Amazing part of it is the fact that, all these trees come by themselves and may not be planted by humans.
ORJI / IROKO TREE.
Orji is one of mightiest trees known to man and spirits. In Afa language, it’s called AKA ATULUKPA. It has massive spiritual working spirits. A powerful dibia/ezenwanyi, needs
Orji for spiritual works. Many do not understand this fact, but Orji has spirits that does almost all mighty works in odinani. Oke osisi Orji, is needed when a mighty spiritual work is needed done.
This very tree is another with a special kind of power. It’s literally strength. Ngwu is just pure strength and all rooted dibias and Ezenwanyi
needs strength/Ngwu to perform powerful works. OKALA OSE, is what Ngwu is known as in spiritual world, afa taught us so. Ngwu is pure tree of power. Reason there’s a saying ỌMA-Ụma EGBU NGWU, NMA ADIHI/AGAHI ADIRI NKOO: meaning anyone trying to kill a person with spirit of NGWỤ around, is a merely wasting time.
Gentle in her dealings. Ojukwu is a female tree of power. She posses the power to neutralise any evil existence/charms / energies. She looks like palm tree but much smaller. The palm oil from Ojukwu, is used in preparing many medicines,
to include anti-poison medicines. It’s also used in creating lotions and soaps, for good skin and healings of both skin and body. OKALA OVU
/OFU , is what she is called spiritually. You cannot spiritually poison anyone with Ojukwu tree/spirit.
AKPUU / AKPU –
This mighty tree is just as massive as Orji/Iroko but have spikes on the body. It grows cotton wool look alike. Very massive and often times grows very straight with the entire body seriously covered with spikes,making it impossible to be climbed. OKALETE is what Akpu is known as in spiritual world. She leads in spiritual wars and must be why she’s covered with spikes. Very mighty. There’s male and female Akpu.
The mighty of the mighty Ofo, is the tree of justice. The tree that holds all together. The tree that in reality, is life. Above all other trees, Ọfọ is the power behind all in full balanced spirituality of Odinani. Bearer may not commit any evil. Owner of ọfọ tree, must do all to avoid defilement or committing any form of nkiti/sin/evil. Ọfọ could be said to be the rarest amongst all other trees of powers. Very few people posses Ofo tree in this journey. Aka Otulee OFOR IGBO, ndewo!
Then there are trees like ORA/OHA, EBENEBE,OGILISI, UDARA, UGILI, AKUYEBILISI, UGBODOAGA, INYI, ÒGBÚ, EWFULU, AKPALATA, NNEOCHIE and more. They come by selves too, but also could be planted by humans. But seriously powerful spiritually.
It’s very important to know your own tree(s), for you shall need them along this mighty journey. We appease them as well. They do works of goodness Odinani for us and are members of our arobunagu, so we appease them. We also include them in our daily libations igoo oji and they may not be cut down. We have tie white clothes on them to cover their nakedness.
Take care of your own. You are planted by Ani of your people and can’t be taken down by anyone, just like your tree(s). Non of the trees mentioned above, could be taken down without due consultation with the powers that be. Same goes for the bearers.
