The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday held a closed-door meeting over the crisis threatening to tear the opposition party to shreds.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the meeting was attended by the PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, and the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.

Also in attendance at the meeting were former Presidents of the Senate, Senators Adolphus Wabara, who is also the secretary of the BoT, David Mark, Bukola Saraki, amongst others.

Speaking after the closed-door meeting, the chairman of the BoT, Senator Walid Jibrin appealed to the leaders of the party to be guided by the crises which lead to the ouster of past chairmen, with a view to drawing sufficient lessons.

He further urged all the parties to sheath their swords in the interest of the party.
