One of the topics that rarely makes the front burner of major discussion points in Nigeria particularly or Africa generally is the concept of organised religion. Despite its suffocating deficiencies and inadequacies, the adherents of Organised Religions have completely lost themselves in the fraudulent Abrahamic bondage which has given rise to nothing but a defective thought process, the truth of the matter is that only fools, cowards, and those too lazy to think, accept blindly, without questioning, dogmas, and doctrines ‘imposed’ upon them at childhood by their parents, priests, and teachers, when their minds were not properly formed enough to activate deep reasoning.

Prominent among these religions are Christianity, Islam, and a few other ones which were nothing but tools designed solely for the purpose of absolute control and subjugation. Christianity, for example despite its shiny surface, was actually a tool of western imperialism – a system that was put in motion many years ago to ensure that Africa is kept in the doldrums and she remains a slave for donkey years. The reality today is that many of the enslaved Africans don’t even know their plight, they wear their chains with honour and pride, the indoctrination done to them by the European marauders was deep enough to ensure they remain subservient and foolish for the rest of their lives. The bitter pill many of them have refused to swallow is that religious beliefs are antithetical to common sense. Telling many Africans that angels, devils, heavens, hells, ghosts, witches, or miracles are nothing but products of imaginative thinking would appear like time-wasting. These superstitious beliefs are often being promulgated for the purpose of making the gullible believe that by paying money to the so-called pastor or Daddy GO (General Overseer), they will be favored by God. Such foolishness.

The damage Organised Religion has done to the world is quite enormous, common sense was simply replaced with fanatical buffoonery, but then the Western Imperialists were indeed smart or how else could they have forced Islamists to believe that the Koran was brought by an angel from heaven? Or made Hindus believe that one of their Gods, Siva, has six arms? For Christians, it even appears worse off, they ridiculously believe a God made the world in six days and that Joshua stopped the sun by yelling at it, even the stories of how Jesus nullified natural laws to perform miracles would all attest to the same thing; the damage was deep. The truth is that no verifiable scientific proof of any of these claims has ever been confirmed. Science has shown them to be conflicting with all known facts. It is more clever to classify them as false and unfounded. Religions are all based upon the primitive superstitions of ignorant, stone-age men who had no knowledge of science and thought the world was flat.

Moving forward, these crude beliefs have sadly been kept alive by a vast Army of Priests, Preachers, and Rabbis because it is to their great profit to promote them, first, by imposing them on the helpless brains of children, and second, by dousing the air, TV, press, and media with their childish superstitions and unreasonable claims. They fool the gullible and make the ignorant pay tribute to them in form of tithes and offerings.

On the flip side, even the proceeds of their ‘scam’ which sometimes culminates into multi-billion-dollar properties and incomes are exempt from taxes. They simply hide under the cloak of sobriety and deceptive spirituality to perpetrate all manner of wickedness albeit harmlessly in some cases.

In Nigeria, one of the men who has mastered the art of this deception is Pastor Lazurus Mouka, who is a Lagos based-pastor and also the General Superintendent of one of the biggest churches in Nigeria, The Lords Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries. It is indeed laughable how Lazarus Muoka, sometime around 1994 claimed he had received a vision from God instructing him to leave his former church to form what is now known as The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement. On the 24th of December 2002 armed with a few pioneer members in a rented apartment at Ilasamaja – a then sleepy part of a town called Mushin in Lagos, the smart Mouka decided to establish his own business venture and officially reviewed and processed the life-changing vision. It would be interesting to note that prior to receiving this vision, the visionless Muoka was into importation of motor parts in a spare parts market in Lagos. Business was largely uneven and gloomy until the idea to ‘repent’ and turn himself to Jesus struck.  After his ‘repentance’, he abandoned the business for more business-savvy people to pursue a career in the very bright church business. He began his ‘ministry’ by serving as a pastor for many years under the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement before God gave him another phone call, this time, the instruction was more assuming, according to him, the instruction was for him to open his own church and just like it was always the case, saying no to such a call was impossible.

Pastor Lazarus Muoka was born in Mgbidi, the headquarters of Oru West Local Government Area but he originally hails from Umuhu Okabia, Orsu L.G.A. After having his primary and secondary education, he moved to Lagos in 1975 where he later encountered ‘God’ who has now skyrocketed him from one calm, timid and unassuming young man, to one of the most sought-after businessmen in Nigeria who deals on fake prophecies and deceptive miracles. Due to the level of damage done by Organised Religion to Nigerians, there is no gain saying in the fact that his market would be huge. Today he superintends over a congregation of over 30,000 gullible and highly indoctrinated people and another 400,000 people across the country.

One of the things this exposition would achieve is that it would somehow stop rational people from glorifying religious profiteers who have simply built their illusory reputation around the fear of a mythical God and mythical Hellfire, Lazurus Mouka for example has his motto as ‘Heaven at last’ which is laughable, because while promising his gullible ‘customers’ an elusive Heaven on his pulpit, he goes into his closet to perpetrate wickedness! Yes, wickedness is the only reason why he would blatantly ignore the plights of one of his pastors who was identified as Pastor Emmanuel Ifeanyichukwu Enweremadu who was struck down by an ailment whilst working for him. Doesn’t Mouka tell his members that wickedness would take one to ‘Hellfire’? Heaven at last indeed – delusion at its finest!
