Bandits have attacked Warari community in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.

Hundreds fled their homes as the outlaws stormed the village with 50 motorcycles, carrying 3 persons each.

The lucky ones deserted their homes about an hour before the bandits arrived.

‘We learnt about the attack from villagers of other communities they raided before coming to Warari’, a local said.

At least 10 shops were looted by the criminals who brandished guns and other weapons. It was the sixth attack in the last three months.

After the Warari attack, the bandits moved to Argida, Gero and Magaman Daji villages, where they rustled over 250 cows.
