No country where sane people are found deserves the trio of Femi Adesina, Garba Shehu, and Lai Mohammed. For a crisis-ridden country like Nigeria, it is even worse; their notoriety for lies, fake news, and serial misrepresentation of facts have seen them destroy whatever is left of the inept APC administration in which they serve, as media aides, they have been nothing but media ‘AIDS’ to the President.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari won the historic 2015 presidential election defeating an incumbent in a well-coordinated and well-funded propaganda-filled campaign. Back then, his message of ‘Change’ was drilled into the ears of an overwhelming majority of Nigerians, it would be recalled that Alhaji Lai Mohammed back then, was the publicity secretary of the APC; He made himself a household name in the art of party spokesmanship employing psychopathic sadism to discredit the little gains of the Goodluck Jonathan Administration. Femi Adesina back then was the editor of a Nigerian newspaper, his position then gave him room to channel all his efforts to help paint a dictator to Nigerians as a ‘converted democrat’ same goes for Shehu Garba who was a very controversial journalist who hates truth and decorum, but romances lies and propaganda. The truth is that those moves were fruitful as 15 million voters bought the message and ousted the then President – Goodluck Jonathan.

Buhari upon his inauguration committed very dangerous blunders by appointing propagandists to run the very sensitive information dissemination department of his government, one thing that probably failed to hit him early was that running desperate campaigns and running proper government were entirely different from each other as the former required crude politics, divisive propaganda and imbecilic lies while the later needed decorum, tact, brevity and some degree of decency to meet up to the expectations of the offices they were occupying.

To add salt to injury, their boss – the President soon afterward, lost touch with reality; his ineptitude became too glaring for all Nigerians to see. He simply kept himself insulated from the Nigerian people who immediately began feeling his absence even though he was still very much around. It is a natural phenomenon that nature abhors vacuums and it was only going to be a matter of time before an unseen hand takes over the government. A very vicious cabal became the beneficiaries of Buhari’s crass negligence and a ‘sleeping on duty’ attitude. The cabal who now run the government by proxy has retained the services of the Lai Mohammed as information minister, Femi Adesina as Presidential media adviser, and Shehu Garba as Presidential media spokesperson, and a few other barefaced liars like Lauretta Onochie, Bashir Ahmed, and others who have all been given the same mandate – to misrepresent facts and distort truths.

To mark Buhari’s six years of disaster as President last week, Information Minister, the parrot, Lai Mohammed, a lawyer, and first-class propagandist with very poor strategic communication skills boasted that no Nigerian President has ever accomplished what the current administration which he serves in has achieved since coming into power in 2015. Femi Adesina, the erstwhile Church Deacon who has now become a spiritual host of fabrication, from his desk churned out his version of a poorly-cooked propaganda dish. According to him, Nigeria has now become a better country than it was before President Muhammadu Buhari’s election in 2015. The truth is that right now, it appears there is a much-coveted weekly prize for the most embarrassing presidential media outing. These ignorant prehistoric creatures now take delight in exposing their insufferable boneheadedness.

As it stands today, there is palpable tension in Nigeria over the insecurity in the land. Many Nigerians have now resorted to self-help as a way of defending themselves from the looming danger, in all these, none of the lying machines in the APC have deemed it fit to allow some semblance of truth in their statements and press releases. It doesn’t occur to any of them that one of the ways to show empathy is to admit the failings of the government they serve while encouraging Nigerians to keep faith alive. To them, everything was about politics and nothing else. To them, politics should always come first before human lives, what a terrible situation Nigerians have found themselves in!

For presidential media adviser – Femi Adesina, who had long lost the human touch many years ago, of course no one serves in the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and remains the same. One would easily remember how Femi justified the Lekki massacre by saying; ‘If President Buhari hadn’t exercised the restraint and tolerance of a father, we would have been talking of something else in the country. The rivers of Nigeria could have turned crimson, and mourning and lamentations would have suffused the land. But we are thankful for the father in President Buhari, patient and enduring, almost to a fault;’ or maybe how he justified the killings, kidnapping, by Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen terrorists which has now reached pandemic levels now in the country by saying that Nigerians should be grateful that bomb blasts are no longer reported every day. Does Femi even know that Nigeria has lost over 40,000 innocent souls to terrorists since they hijacked power? Adesina simply reeled out figures of casualties during the government of Goodluck Jonathan, juxtaposing it against his boss’ as though governance is a contest of blood-fest. This is horrifying to say the very least.

While attempting to shove RUGA – the land grabbing master plan of the APC down the throat of Nigerians, Femi had this to say; ‘It will be better for those that were opposed to cattle ranching to provide lands than to die in the herdsmen attacks. What would the land be used for if those who own it are dead at the end of the day? calling them beasts would be far too kind, surely.

For the arrogant, educated-illiterate, and unpolished Fulani who has earned himself a deserving nickname – ‘Garbage Shehu’ has now taken the absurdity to new lofty heights. He seems to be the most vicious of the trio, he has earned his principal so many enemies that one would begin to wonder who he actually writes for. Stoking fire and ethnic tension is his most potent tactic. If Nigeria stops existing as a corporate entity today, Garba’s role would be quite obvious. He is the worst presidential spokesperson Nigeria has ever seen. One would not forget in a hurry how he reacted to the massacre of about 43 Zabarmari rice farmers in Borno who were killed Boko Haram by saying that the farmers should be blamed for their deaths for not getting clearance from the military before they went to the rice fields. Empathy has indeed died in the lives of these heartless bunch. Garba doesn’t miss any opportunity to lie, present half-truths, or simply heat up the polity for purely selfish movies. Garba is always eager to bare his fangs anytime the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) is in the news, however, he becomes a weakling anytime marauding Fulani herdsmen go on a killing spree. Ethnic chauvinism has eaten Garba up. When he is not dishing out lies for his paymasters, he is busy concocting half truths to dismember Nigeria. His very insensitive and combative approach to issues easily gives him out as the arrowhead of the cabal that is determined to ruin Nigeria.

Last week, ‘dis’ information minister, Lai Mohammed was in the center of the storm as his ministry announced the suspension of micro-blogging social media platform Twitter from Nigeria, it didn’t stop there, network providers were immediately mobilised to deactivate the platform from their network servers, for Lai Mohammed, the lie profiteer, the President’s ego was more important than the freedom of expression of two hundred million Nigerians. The minister’s name is most befitting. Everything about him just like his name sounds (Lai) are all lies. Nigerians no longer listen to him, they see it as a waste of time. Instead of showcasing the achievements of his employers if they have any, his major desire is to gag the press, shut down the social space, and take the rights of expressions away from Nigerians.

These pathetic trio have continued to compete and show total disdain for Nigeria and Nigerians. Reminding them that their worthless journey would end in two years is obviously a waste of time because their loyalty to the cabal has consumed them. While Nigeria dances around the precipice, posterity would remember them for choosing lies amidst truth. Choosing political correctness over conscience and finally taking sides with the oppressor against the oppressed. Their roles as lying machines are no longer a subject of debates, they will surely pay for lives that were lost for their roles in the APC regime – the worst evil that has ever befallen Nigerians.
