War On Insurgency New Service Chiefs Arrive Maiduguri

The newly appointed Service Chiefs on Sunday afternoon arrived Maiduguri the Borno State capital to meet critical stakeholders and brainstorm on strategies to end the protracted Boko Haram insurgency.

The Service Chiefs who were appointed a few days ago by President Muhammadu Buhari were led on the visit by the Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Lucky Irabor.

They torched down at the headquarters of the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole in Maiduguri on Sunday afternoon at about 1330 hours.

With the Chief of Defence were Chief of Army Staff, Maj. General Ibrahim Attahiru; Chief of Naval Staff, AVM Awwal Gambo and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Isiaka Amao.

The Service Chiefs, who are expected to depart Maiduguri to Abuja Sunday evening, while in the troubled town will brainstorm with the military hierarchy in Borno State.

They will also pay a courtesy call on the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, and the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Garbai El-Kanemi.
