Ebonyi State National Assembly members, elected in the political party; the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), have said they will not be defecting to the APC against.
The Chairman of South-East Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State; David Umahi, announced on Tuesday that he was joining the All Progressive Congress (APC). He based his decision on the ‘marginalization’ of Igbos by the PDP.
He said the party PDP by now, should have stated, categorically, whether it would zone its 2023 presidential ticket to the South-East or not.
The Chairman added that there will be a mass exodus of leaders and members from PDP to APC in the region. But the federal lawmakers from Ebonyi on Wednesday stated that no member of the caucus is decamping.
The former Governor and leader of the federal lawmakers, Senator Sam Egwu, declared that remaining in the PDP are the three Senators and five House of Representatives members.
‘Ebonyi governor is on his own on this matter and is the only person going to another party’, he said.
