The Kogi State Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has announced a shift in the dates for the conduct of its schools’ examinations.

Mr Emmanuel Idenyi, The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, made the announcement in a statement on Friday in Lokoja.

NAN reports that the ministry had earlier released the timetable for school examinations in which the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) was scheduled between September 28 and October 7.

The Common Entrance Examination (CEE) was earlier scheduled for October 17 and Basic Six Examination (FSLCE) for October 13.

Idenyi explained that the decision on the shift in the internal examinations’ date, was taken after a series of engagements with the relevant stakeholders.

According to him, all unforeseen issues raised by the stakeholders will be harmonized before announcing new dates and revised time table for the examinations.

The Permanent Secretary assured all stakeholders that the government would take a position that would be convenient and acceptable to all.
