What’s the future of Nigeria youths? Nigeria is a country where the youths perpetually remain the leaders of tomorrow, while their grandfathers continue to rule them today and even tomorrow.
Ours is now a society, where the youths are very comfortable with little crumbs that fall off the table of politicians, rather than demanding for a better, just, and equitable society, where democracy dividends are provided by the government. They are very comfortable being sycophants to politicians who steal away their future.

Nigeria as the most populous black nation has a lot of young people that make up the cream of its population. Any serious country that has a lot of youthful workforce would have turned it to their advantage, but it has become a problem in ours.
Many Nigerians youths are scattered all over the world in search of greener pasture, and most are abused and subjected to inhuman behaviour by the host countries. Many take the arduous and dangerous routes of escaping the country and its inherent hardship and poverty by trekking through deserts or going through the sea on boats. All these are as a result of failure of government.
If enabling environment is created for Nigerian youths with their untapped Human Resources, they have the capacity to compete with the first world in almost every sphere of life. The proof of this can be seen on the way Nigerian students smash records in schools abroad.
The youthful age is the only time we can work hard and prepare for our retirements. Life cycle is not as long as it seems. While we wait for things to get better, the youths should try to engage themselves, acquire some skills and improve themselves just for that very important survival.
