The President of the Imo State Congress of America (ISCA), Engr. Sampson Udeh has expressed his interest to partner up with the Imo State Diasporan office to be able move things forward in the state.

Engr. Udeh started by talking about the organisation, Imo State Congress of America which he described as an umbrella organisation for Imo state indigenes living in the United States of America and Canada. It was formed in 2004 and since its inception, it has tried to reach out to all diasporan indigenes living in North America, it also addresses the needs of Ndi-Imo in diaspora and also extends a helping hand to all brothers and sisters in the home state and at large.

It is an organisation of organisations which houses more than fifty Imo State indigenes living in America.

One of the primary objectives of the group is to collectively seek ways to improve the standard of living at home while demonstrating a strong support for the betterment of the Imo State Economy.

In the past, ISCA has tried hard to achieve all of its agenda, but sometimes, it faces some challenges. In the quest to give back to their homeland, ISCA would work in collaboration with the Imo State Government to encourage Imo State expatriates around the globe, harnessing the gain derived from the brain drain in achieving the infrastructural development, sustainability and economic stability of Imo State.

He appreciated the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for having an open-door policy and he also shows his heartfelt gratitude to Councillor Celia Osakwe-Hibbert Special Adviser to the Governor on Diaspora Affairs for the wonderful work she has been doing with her Disaporan office.

He also shows his interest in partnering with her because all responsive governments in the world always work with private organisations and non-governemntal organisations to solve problems.

He assured them that ISCA and its members were very willing and ready to work with them and there was no room for conflicts and bickering because the time for politics is over.

He concluded with the statement:

“May God bless Governor Hope Uzodinma and Imo State”
