South Korea announced on Tuesday that it will begin the new school year with online classes.
The take-off of the school year has been postponed three times.
It will now start 9 April, Prime Minister Chung Sye-Kyun said.
The coronavirus pandemic had left schools running five weeks behind schedule.
Meanwhile, the Korea Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) reported 125 new infections, bringing the total to 9,786.
Four more persons who tested positive to coronavirus also died, while the number of people completely recovered from the disease rose by 185 to 5,408.
Despite fluctuating numbers, South Korea has seen a clear trend of receding infection rates since its peak of daily cases in February – when more than 900 people were found to have the virus in a single day.
