Couple Arrested For Public Sex Amid Coronavirus In Italy

A couple has been arrested in Italy for having sex in a car and breaching coronavirus quarantine rules.

The couple; a 23-year-old Egyptian man and 40-year-old Tunisian woman were caught in the act on a road in Mecenate near Milan which has been heavily hit by the outbreak.

They were caught by a police officer on duty, the Daily Mail reported.

The quarantine rule in Italy bans two people from being in the front or back of a vehicle together, according to news agency ANSA.

However, It is not certain whether the couple will be prosecuted for their actions.

Italy is recorded as one of the countries mostly affected by the COVID-19 epidemic which has caused a lockdown in the country.

Italians are only allowed outside to buy food or receive medical care.

Milan has had the largest number of cases in Italy and hospitals in the northern province are struggling to cope.

Italy recorded 3,526 new cases taking the total to 31,506 and death toll rate of 2,503.
