New York police officials said a second police officer has been shot in the Bronx, only hours after a gunman attacked officers in a patrol van.

Following the shooting at the patrol van, police cordoned off the area of East 163 St & Barretto Ave in the Bronx. Police warned people to keep off from the area and later issued a notice declaring a lone gunman wanted for shooting of police officers on Simpson Street.
