Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has reacted to the plane crash that left over 170 passengers and crew members dead.

She sent a condolence message to Canada being that it had 57 citizens of the people on board the Ukrainian airliner.

Iran on Saturday admitted shooting down the plane but maintained it was unintentional.

The Queen’s statement reads, “Philip and I have been deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives following the crash of the Ukrainian Airlines aircraft in Iran.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Canada, which has suffered such a devastating loss.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of all those Canadians, and indeed other nationalities, who died, and to the many others who have been affected by this terrible event.”
