Suspected armed robbers, at about 10 a.m. on Christmas eve shot dead a yet-to-be-identified man in Polokor Market, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The suspected armed robbers who did not pick a pin from the deceased, also shot sporadically in the air to scare people.

They ensured the deceased breath his last before they left the scene of the incident, THISDAY reports.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya could not be reached.

She has not replied the text message sent to her phone by our correspondent for confirmation of the report.

The incident occurred barely six hours after the indicated transfer of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke from Delta State.

It was learnt that Adeleke was sent on course to the Nigerian Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru Jos.
