The supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has taken to his social media handles to lambaste the Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari over the congratulatory message he sent to the Ethiopian prime minister, Ahmed Abiy.

President Buhari, who sent his regards to the Prime Minister via twitter, expressed his felicitations to the Ethiopian Prime Minister for winning the 2019 Nobel Peace prize.

According to him, “The award is an honour well deserved, especially in commemoration of your remarkable efforts towards ending the 20 years conflict between Eritrea and Ethiopia”.

Mazi Kanu, however, faulted Buhari on many things, but most especially on the reason for the award. He said that Mr Presidennt congratulating Ahmed for the award based on his work to end the war between Ethiopia and Eritrea is a contradiction, noting that the 2019 noble peace prize was given to Ahmed strictly in recognition of the critical role he played in the referendum that split Eritrea from Ethiopia.
