Louie Rankin, famous for his role as Teddy Bruckshot in the Jamaican movie ‘Shottas’, has died after being involved in a horror car crash.
The Grammy-award winning reggae artist, who worked with stars such as DJ Khalid and DMX, was involved in the fatal car accident in Ontario, Canada on Monday.
A transport truck and another vehicle were said to be involved in the wreckage, according to TMZ.
Further details are yet to surface but he is thought to have died from injuries sustained in the crash.
A tweet from the star’s verified account read: “It saddens us to have to announce that The “(ORIGINAL) DON DADA” “Trail Blazer” the legend – Louie Rankin passed away this morning!

Rankin received a Grammy award in 1992 for his track, ‘Typewriter’ as well as appearing in movies such as Shottas, in 2002, and We Run These Streets, in 2014.
Tributes flooded social media, with fans sharing their shock and sadness over his sudden death.
One fan posted: “Rip Louie Rankin the original Don Dada aka Teddy Brukshot.”
The star had been residing in Toronto before his death. (The Sun)
