PASTOR DAVID
Sister Prisca, I’m highly impressed with you for being stead fast in the things of the Lord
PRISCA
Thank you sir. Since I don’t have material possession for now to honour God with so I can only give him service, right from the bottom of my heart.
PASTOR DAVID
And I tell you, that’s what the Lord is interested in. heartfelt service and worship, that’s all he wants from us. He has everything so what can we possibly give him that he doesn’t have? So, my sister always continue with your service to him.
PRISCA
I will sir. Thank you, sir.
PASTOR DAVID
Please wait a minute sister Prisca, I understand that you don’t have a job, is that correct?
PRISCA
Yes sir.
PASTOR DAVID
What’s your CV like?
PRISCA
I have a first degree in Business Administration, after which I did my youth service in one of the new generation banks some couple of years ago but I wasn’t retained and since that time I haven’t really worked in any corporate establishment.
PASTOR DAVID
Would you mind to work in the church’s administrative office? Though the salary is not as much as that of the bank or multinational but it’s enough to get you by.
PRISCA
Ah! That’s very kind of you sir, I wouldn’t mind at all.
PASTOR DAVID
All right, you can start on Monday, that’s tomorrow.
PRISCA
Thank you sir, thank you so much.
PASTOR DAVID
Thank God, my sister.

RAY’S driving to WORK and on his WAY, he sees PRISCA and stops to pick her up.
RAY
Reverses the car as he talks to himself.

PRISCA
Hello Ray!
RAY
Where’re you going? I could drop you off.
PRISCA
I’m going to work but I don’t think is your way.
RAY
Come on! That shouldn’t bother you, hop in, let me drop you off.
PRISCA

RAY
It’s nothing really, anything for you damsel.
PRISCA

RAY
So, where are you working now?
PRISCA
I just got a job with our church’s office.
RAY
Church’s office?
PRISCA
Yes.
RAY
Come on pretty! What’s a beautiful girl like you doing in a dry place like a church? Why don’t you come and live with me? You’re not going to do any work; I will pay you three times whatever you’re paid by the church.
PRISCA
Ray, I want you to understand something here, the church is the best place for anybody to actually be, so don’t have this misconception that it’s a dry place. I wish I got saved earlier before now and I think you should also forsake the dirty life you’re still living and draw nigh to God.
RAY
Prisca, don’t tell me you’ve also joined them in this foolishness called ‘born again’ you’re too polished and beautiful for that.
PRISCA
Ray, I’m glad today, to tell you that I’m born again and I must tell you, it pays to be. It doesn’t profit anybody anything to gain the world and loses his or her soul, my dear, change your ways now because tomorrow is not in your hand.
RAY
So, you mean we can’t spend the usual time together again?
PRISCA
Ray, I’m now a new creature, I don’t live such dirty life again. Please I’m dropping at the next junction.

Ray, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I beg you to stop addressing me with such worldly nick name. I have left the world for good. Right now, I’m a bona fide offspring of God.
RAY
You! Dan, you! You of all people. Honestly, you surprise me.
DAN
Well, life is always full of wonders and surprises and I’m happy I’m giving you a pleasant surprise.
RAY
Dan, to me, there’s nothing pleasant about your decision of becoming a religious fanatic.
DAN
I think you’re confusing yourself brother, I’m a saved soul, purchased by the precious blood of Christ not a religious fanatic.
RAY
Anyway, I’m not here for one of your usual arguments.
DAN
Honestly, Ray, I think you and ken should consider giving your lives to Christ before it’s too late.
RAY
Tell that to the birds! My friend, let’s talk about why I’m here.
DAN
What if I don’t want to talk about anything else apart from the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ?
RAY

You’re not serious my friend, I hope you know that’s all most pastors do yet they live flamboyantly. Anyway, what brings you here this early?
RAY
Good question for once! I saw the VI property in the papers you’re putting up for sale. How much is it going for?
DAN
You mean ken’s property? It’s actually going for N400, million.
RAY
Ken’s property? Ken is selling his house, is he broke?
DAN
Not at all.
RAY
So, why does he want to sell it?
DAN
As if you don’t know who ken is, I’m sure he’s fed up with the house.
RAY
Quite a lovely edifice, is it negotiable?
DAN
Yes it is but not more than 5%.
RAY

DAN
